A few weeks ago, I needed to buy a new cell phone to replace a broken one. I needed it right away. I had two options: go to a classic bricks-and-mortar store, or order one from an online store. A classic store would have been expensive, but the Internet would have taken several days, at least – and I might not have been home when it arrived, meaning a trip to the post office. (If I had paid for express delivery, I would have lost the discount gained by shopping online.)
