IDC Manufacturing Insights, and The Institute of Warranty Chain Management (iWCM) need your help to conduct an assessment of the warranty processes across industry so that we can develop an industry framework to assist companies in realizing improvements. The results of this survey will be summarized and organized to help you evaluate the maturity of your own warranty operations against the aggregate results of your peers.
The first of its kind, this proposed framework will provide industry with standard language, metrics, maturity stages, and a basis for the best practices and technologies that improve performance and accelerate warranty business transformation. The warranty model will ultimately be available to industry and maintained by members of the non-profit iWCM organization.
Technology and engineering oriented manufacturers will benefit greatly from this new model as, according to IDC research, these organizations spend an average of 2-4% of revenues on warranty.
In appreciation for your time and participation in this survey, we offer to send you the IDC Manufacturing Insights report on Warranty Spend in the U.S. (list price of $4,500). Additionally, at the end of the survey you will be given the opportunity to sign up to attend a webcast which will discuss the findings so you can compare them with your own organization.
It is critical that anyone involved in the warranty process at your organization (e.g. service, quality, manufacturing, engineering, legal, marketing, etc.) participate in this study to help develop this industry model.
