The Age of Genomics Has Begun!

While still early, there are multiple signs that the age of genomics has already begun. With this new age will come both great successes and general disappointment.  Successes will herald the beginning of the broader shift towards more personalized medicine.  We are already seeing the early fruits of this trend, with MOA and mechanism-based biomarkers associated with most, if not all new drugs in development and general industry acceptance and adoption of translational research approaches.  T

Serialization initiatives have slowed considerably over the last few years due to delayed industry mandates (i.e. CA Pedigree Law), global economic uncertainty, and competing priorities in other areas of the business. However, the most significant roadblock to serialization has been construction of ROI calculations at levels too low in the organization.
