Following a recent blog regarding the growing market spotlight on fraud, waste and abuse management, IDC Health Insights notes the growing focus within the employer community.

Castlight this past week hosted a webinar featuring, among others, Shawn Leavitt, the SVP of Global Benefits for Comcast, an employer of 126,000 global employers. Health plans are deeply aware of employer focus on cost shifting and cost management through a variety of tactics: premium cost sharing, cost shifting to employees through copay and deductibles, employee incentives, designated networks, etc. However, the highest priority listed by for the upcoming year was the elimination of waste.

    Jonas, don' you think that the architecture adopted to address traceability regulation could easily be replaced by IOT solutions. Main drivers: less implementation costs, no packaging line performance decrease, no additional cost for aggregation, and of course interconnexion with smart phone app.
