My colleague Hui-Long earlier blogged about our overwhelmingly successful Asian Insurance Congress (AIC) 2012. This Congress revolved around the theme "The Insurer's New World Order: Adapting to Changing Times", a focus which I think, was a very apt. Why so? As the cycles of uncertainties proceed, insurers have to face changing (and more stringent) regulatory standards, changing (and more complex) risk profiles, and evolving market share, yet need to penetrate new markets and introduce product innovation. Any typical CXO would be overwhelmed trying to navigate and emerge triumphant through this plethora of changes and challenges, and would be interested to know how their peers were coping.
