It has been a long time in coming, but utilities will now be able to get more transparency into their exposure in the market through the Energy Data Hub. What this means for the energy companies that contribute is that they will have access to both physical and financial trading data. This is a boon for those companies that currently do not have a full picture of the market.

Ok, so the Lejondals castle, just North West of Stockholm is not that old, it only dates back to 1892. However, it will provide the setting for next week's 2nd annual IDC Pan-European Utilities Executive Summit, "Getting the Most out of the New Normal". I'm a true believer of looking at the past to draw inspiration for the future and have faith that the historic surroundings of Lejondals castle will bring out the best of our delegates in their discussions of the "new".
