The European Utility Week 2014: Sharing a Few Thoughts

Three weeks ago I had the great pleasure of attending my first European Utility Week in Amsterdam. Just shy of 9,200 registered attendees and with some 440 paper presentations and 370 exhibitors, the event has not only been stimulating from a content and turnout perspective, but most importantly another valuable moment for the industry to debate issues and discuss innovation. After three full days of meetings with vendors, utilities and new-entrant innovators, two parallel and diverse conference programs and a rich exhibition floor, here is a number of topics from the event that I would like to share as my personal "hot list":
