OSIsoft Gets New Shareholders

By Jill Feblowitz

OSIsoft is a household name when it comes providing access to time series data from process systems. Technology Crossover Ventures (TCV) and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB) have become minority shareholders in OSIsoft to the tune of $135 million.  The investment was a secondary purchase of shares. OSI is profitable with good cash flow, similar to other investments that TCV makes.  Energy companies that use OSIsoft PI and other products should see this purchase as as a plus.
